natural colour can be returned for a 100% refund - quantity restrictions apply. If we made the error we will refund the shipping as well, otherwise return shipping is your responsibility. After owning our products for 10 days, we know you will want to keep them and they will not be accepted for return under our 100% money back guarantee.

Retail orders of larger quantities of natural and dyed feathers and boas, i.e. more than 10 items, may be accepted for return at our discretion; please contact us first. There is always a minimum retail restocking fee of 25% on all returned feather and boa orders. Larger quantities of natural and dyed and bleached or coloured products will probably not be accepted for return and/or will incur a much larger restocking fee of at least 50%
There are no returns on any items sold
as is, ostrich meat or perishable products, custom dyed feathers or boas, sale or batch surplus clearance items, any boa with gold/silver lurex or burnt coque feathers, 2 tone and 3 tone feathers and boas, Sally Rand ostrich or marabou fans, feather handbags, leather products, video tape products or software or any item special ordered.
Wholesale orders are not generally returnable. If you return a wholesale order, we will apply a restocking fee of at least 50%. All wholesale clients will receive a store credit - there are no cash or credit card refunds for wholesale orders.

If you wish to return an item, please notify the office by email, telephone or fax within 10 days of the delivery date of the merchandise, at which time we will issue a return authorisation number.
No returns accepted or acknowledged without a return authorisation number issued by the office. The minimum restocking fee for any item returned WITHOUT an RMA is 66.6%
There is a minimum restocking fee of 25% on all or any items accepted for return by Ostriches On Line which fall outside of our
100% money back guarantee service. There is no restocking fee for any item which is included in our
100% money back guarantee service.
If you requested express processing and or express shipping and then return the merchandise, we will not refund either of these charges if the order was processed and shipped as requested.
If you order merchandise and delivery cannot take place for any reason, and the merchandise is returned, the restocking fee for such non-delivered merchandise will be at least 40% and you will be liable for all shipping charges associated with the order.

All prices on our Internet site exclude shipping and handling charges.
Shipping and handling charges are calculated and displayed at check-out.
We offer various shipping methods including US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, common carriers, air cargo services and other independent couriers.
You may use your own shipping company or use your account number to ship via UPS, FedEx, DHL or other courier account. There is a $15 surcharge per shipment for this service. This information to accompany your order.
Shipping by US Postal Service, either US mail or US International Mail is entirely at your own risk. Tracking information is not available. Insurance is not available. If the US Postal service or any International Postal Service fail to deliver the package or the package is damaged, broken or items are missing, if the package is held at Customs or other government agency, Ostriches On Line accept or assume no liability whatsoever for this method of delivery. No refund will be made nor will any replacement items be sent if you select US mail or US International Mail.
Shortages and order discrepancies back to top
After we have shipped your order and after you have received your order, it is your responsibility to check the contents of the order immediately.
Any or all shortages, damages or other discrepancies must be notified to the office within 48 hours of receipt.
Receipt is deemed to have taken place when FedEx, UPS or any other carrier we use has documented that the package(s) have been delivered. No claims for damages, shortages or discrepancies will be accepted after 48 hours from receipt.
In all instances of discrepancies, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number after you have notified the office. This RMA details how you should return the merchandise. We do not issue call tags and we will always refund your return shipping costs if we made a genuine mistake.

All orders are prepaid. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club, Google Checkout, Paypal, cheques, checks and money orders.
T/T and wire transfers are accepted; free on orders over $500.00. T/T and wire transfer orders less than $500 will incur a $25 surcharge.

Order processing and order shipping/delivery times are displayed at check-out. These are the most accurate and are updated daily.
As a general rule, most of our
off the shelf retail orders are shipped within 5 business days from receipt of your order and the confirmation at check-out has the most accurate information.

Express Processing options and costs are calculated at check-out.
UK orders which require express processing and shipping will be shipped directly from the US office and this will incur substantial shipping costs.
Wholesale orders processing time is generally longer than retail - usually within 14 -21 business days.
All processing times are at least doubled during a sale due to the high volume of orders.
Some orders may require additional verification of billing, shipping, credit card and/or a signed confirmation of order. You will be notified by email if your order requires any further verification and your reply in a timely manner to any verification requests is required.
If you request a specific delivery date - date-certain and this is not available with the processing options you choose, we will automatically upgrade and upcharge your order to meet the specific delivery date - date-certain you requested.
Prices, taxes, duty etc. back to top
Prices listed on our Web site are each or per unit as applicable. No sales tax will be added, however, any local taxes, duty, import taxes, etc. are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Export products only - if we receive an invoice for import duty, export duty, customs, clearance fees, miscellaneous or other tax, value added tax or any other type of transaction tax as a result of the exportation of our products, you as the importer implicitly agree to pay all these fees and authorise us to make the charges on the credit card you supplied with your order.

Feathers - process time, dyeing, colours and sizes back to top
Feather and boa colours are not identical. The standard processing time for dyed feather products is about 10 business days from receipt of your order and the confirmation at check-out has the most accurate processing information.
All feathers are dyed over natural markings and colours are approximate only. Feathers contain oils that can substantially affect the final colour. If you want us to dye over white feathers, with most of the oils removed, then you must let us know beforehand and there may be a 25% surcharge.
Feathers and all feather products are not colourfast and our liability is limited to the value of the merchandise sold.
Custom feather dyeing is available and is an extra - 50.00 per colour per product per style for standard items and 100.00 for 2-Tone feathers only. Add about 2 weeks delivery time.
Feather sizes are assorted and you will receive feathers of assorted sizes as listed. If you want an exact size feather, add 100% to the cost of the nearest size to cover handling, sorting and preparation. Feather prices are per colour, per style, per size. Feather quantities per pound vary considerably and are purely a rough guide. With longer feathers, there will be considerably less feathers per pound of feathers ordered than the guideline we mention. If you require exact quantities of feathers, please order your feathers by singles or by the dozen.
Boas - process time, dyeing, colours and sizes back to top
Feather and boa colours are not identical. The standard processing time for dyed boa products is about 10 business days from receipt of your order and the confirmation at check-out has the most accurate processing information.
Boas and all boa products are not colourfast and our liability is limited to the value of the merchandise sold.
Custom boa dyeing is available and is an extra $75 per colour per product per style. Add about 2 weeks delivery time.
Boa lengths are standard 2 yard (6 feet - 1.84 metres) other sizes available for special orders. Boa prices are per colour, per style, per size.

All domestic continental USA orders under 15 pounds are shipped via FedEx or UPS 2 day or Next Day delivery in special cooler boxes - cartons with ice packs to ensure your total satisfaction and 100% freshness.
All orders will be left at the delivery address with a signature release even if there is no one there to accept personal receipt.
We will attempt to notify the recipient of the ostrich meat delivery by email, providing you supply a valid email address.
Shipping costs to all other locations and countries is by quotation only and may be subject to you obtaining an import permit. If you are in doubt, please place your order and we will advise on a per-order basis.

All ostrich leather products are individually hand made for your specific order. For this reason we cannot accept any leather products for return.
Delivery on leather items is a minimum of 28 business days.

Some products we sell are
commodities and as such, prices fluctuate. These include feathers, meat boas and leather products. We therefore reserve the right to change prices and specifications without notice.
Sales, special offers, coupons and clearance back to top
Credits against future purchases, refunds or any special coupons we issue are available for redemption against our normal Internet pricing only and cannot be used with any sales or special offers we may make available from time to time. Items in a sale or marked as clearance can be end of line or discontinued or lower quality or sub-standard or over-stocked or non-standard items and are sold as-is. These items are not returnable.

Cancellation back to top
When you place your order and we subsequently accept your order a contract is created and in turn we incur substantial administration and/or warehouse costs to process your order.
If at any time you cancel your order after it has been submitted, a cancellation fee may apply. This cancellation fee is based on the time and/or the duration and/or the processing/workload already completed by us at the time of cancellation, as follows:-
a). If your order has been received and scheduled for fulfillment and is in the warehouse and you then cancel the order, a 25% cancellation fee of the entire order - minimum 25.00 - excluding shipping charges, will apply.
b). If your order has been received and is within the administration department awaiting verification and/or a reply and/or a response from you of any kind, and you then cancel the order and/or fail to provide the verification or information requested, a 10% cancellation fee of the entire order - minimum 10.00 - excluding shipping charges will apply.
c). If your order has been received and we are unable to fulfil the order and/or are out of stock and/or we are unable to obtain your merchandise in a timely manner, then NO cancellation fee will apply.
