Ostrich diseases
Ostriches are on the whole sturdy, healthy animals and should remain so if strict hygiene conditions are adhered to and good husbandry is maintained.

Most problems can be controlled with similar precautions. Adult ostriches are hardy animals, not prone to diseases.

Chicks and adolescent birds require more care, but even for them, problems are usually restricted to a few diseases which cause 90% of all mortalities.
