Ostriches produce the world's largest egg - they are equal in size to about 24 chicken eggs.

We empty and clean and process all our Ostrich Egg Shells in our own facility in South Africa - we ship in excess of 25,000 Ostrich Egg Shells annually which ensures year round quality and consistency.

Our empty ostrich eggs average about 6 inches - 15 cm tall and 5 inches - 12.5 cm across but sizes vary as these are a natural product.

All our egg shells are hand selected and individually boxed.

Empty Ostrich Egg Shells

Grade A - Grade "A" egg shells are well formed, well shaped, consistent colour & shading and are free from marks, blemishes and deformities.

None of our Ostrich Egg Shells have cracks or physical damage when they leave our warehouse.

Preparation

All our Ostrich egg shells are prepared by drilling a hole in the base and then removing the "innards" The egg shells are then sterilised clean before being washed in warm soapy water.

After drying, they are wiped clean - no additive or polish is used on the exterior.

Each egg is then individually wrapped and boxed before we ship them to you.
