A C Busen registered: 2000-08-09	hy,everbody!I'm searching for some informations about the enquirement of major, minor and trace minerals for ostriches (grower until 12 month).Has anybody some scientific informations?Thanke you!

fiona@blue-mountain.net	Daryl Holle has written a comprehensive book on the role of all the minerals in Ratite rations and that is available from this web site. We have also a table of the role of the different vitamins and minerals available on our web site at http://www.blue-mountain.net/diagnose/p270.htmIt is not possible to provide actual levels for the different rations as this depends on many other factors in the ration. What is important to understand is that Ostrich, due to their low daily intake of dry matter, are susceptible to mineral interferences when the mineral sources are of a poor quality containing other contaminants.I note that you reference in particular grower rations to 12mths. To maximise the success of the grower rations depends heavily on the quality of breeder rations to ensure a strong chick at hatch - this is an area that I still find severely underestimated by most currently working with Ostrich rations. : hy,everbody!: I'm searching for some informations about the enquirement of major, minor and trace minerals for ostriches (grower until 12 month).: Has anybody some scientific informations?: Thanke you!
